Ephesians 5:1-2 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
I believe Christmas is the perfect time of year for us show that we are of God. There are so many moments and opportunities to show God's love and to be selfless all year long, but especially at this time of year. I think of those who are not enjoying the season for whatever reason. It can be anything from the loss of a loved one, to the lack of money, to not having Jesus. We can be that beacon of light in the darkness for someone. I am praying hard to discern God's prompting so that I make someone's season better and not more painful. We must be discerning in the way we speak to others during this time of joy and happiness. This is even true when we talk with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Speaking in love is just a good idea all of the time. And listening and responding to God's prompting is even more important. We live in Jesus because He lives through us. Now it's time to show the world.
