1 Corinthians 2:4-5 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
As a blogger, I love this verse. I realize that many of my readers know me and get to see the work God is doing in my life. I'm hopeful that the words I am writing are portraying the Spirit's power and that they are not just good words. I hope that makes sense. I completely agree with Paul here. The way we can really help people to see God and recognize His power is to let Him demonstrate through us in the Holy Spirit. Our lives are to be a reflection of Jesus, no more than that, they are to be the very life of Jesus as we are called to let him live in use, around us, and through us. Get out of the way and let the Spirit demonstrate God's power. You might even be surprised by what is revealed. I know I have been in awe of God's power many, many times this year.
