Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
When we are still, we can actually see God moving. We are not distracted by our own flailing or by the flailing of others. We are able to intentionally focus on God and see His design in our lives. The other perk of being still is that there is a quietness that allows us to listen for His voice and discern what it is He is calling us to do. We can only become attuned to His voice when we hear it often, and He can only be heard in the stillness, so make time to be still with God. If you spend intentional time with God, keep your eyes and ears open because He will show up. We are experiencing this as a family in this time as we wait with Mom in hospice. We understand that we need to be still, and we have been able to see all that God has been doing in this time. He is being exalted!
