1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today I am mindful of the amazing people I have the opportunity to come into contact with on a daily/weekly basis. I am blessed by the people I get to work alongside, present and past. I know that many of them will never even read this, but I am prompted to write about how thankful I am for each and every one of them. They are all a part of this verse for me because I know that so many of them are in education because they consider a calling. It is incredible to get to work people who have a mind and heart for others. I know that many of them pray for their students and families and work to provide support in ways that only God can provide through them. I also recognize that they cannot speak about Jesus directly in their classrooms, but many is the time I get to see Jesus through them and I know their students see Him too. My church family also instantly came to mind when I read these verses. These words embody the community of brothers and sisters in Christ I am privileged to be with on this journey. I am grateful for the unbelievable support they have provided to my family in our time of need. One can truly see the faith, love, and hope that Community has and I am overwhelmed to be on the receiving end. When I count my blessings, each and every person at Community, Hayward, Discovery, and a host of other schools is on that list. Thank you for the blessing you are to me. Who do you need to thank God for today? Tell them.
